The research was conducted with 12 aged with a mean age of seventy on years who were assessed by an interview for data collection, and as a criterion for exclusion could not have presented conditions that would preclude the practice of the proposed activities. The study was carried out in six weeks, the first and last for evaluation of thin praxis, which was tested by comparing the times between two circuits, starting and ending with an emphasis on activities related tasks of daily life. The four weeks were aimed at intermediate stimulation for maintenance and improvement of fine motor skills, early meetings were held stretches and mobilizations osteocinemáticas specific active, and after the exercises were inserted through playful activities that required manual coordination. The results showed that 75% of elderly study participants showed an improvement in fine and praxis were correlated with other individual data, which was held profession, performing other physical activities and age. It was verified the effectiveness of physiotherapy in primary activities with the elderly, who promoted the maintenance and rescue of praxis fine with that, the better development in performing activities of daily living, and the importance of new studies by the lack of specific research in the area.

ABSTRACT
Have been observed high growth of the aged population in the world, Brazil has a large number of this class and the State of Rio de Janeiro the largest concentration. Aging causes a considerable number of physiological changes to the individual, therefore, there is a decline in functional abilities coordinatives. The praxis is the first fine motor acquisition to be dilapidated with advancing age, which complicates the implementation of activities of daily living. This study aims to evaluate the importance of preventive physical therapy to repair the deficits caused by the decrease of praxis thin due to aging, science-based psychomotor. It was verified the effectiveness of physiotherapy in primary activities with the elderly, who promoted the maintenance and rescue of praxis fine with that, the better development in performing activities of daily living, and the importance of new studies by the lack of specific research in the area.
